This Spicy Salmon Sushi Bake is a delicious and easy way to enjoy sushi flavors at home.

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pound cooked salmon, flaked
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 sheet nori, cut into strips

Instructions

  1. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Combine the rice and water in a rice cooker and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  3. In a small saucepan, heat the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt over low heat until dissolved.
  4. Once the rice is cooked, transfer it to a bowl and mix in the vinegar mixture.
  5. In another bowl, combine the flaked salmon, mayonnaise, sriracha, and green onions.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. In a baking dish, layer the sushi rice, followed by the salmon mixture on top.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until heated through.
  9. Serve with nori strips for wrapping the sushi bake.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of sriracha according to your spice preference.
  • Garnish with extra green onions for added flavor.
