Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, milk, eggs, salt, and half of the cheddar cheese until smooth.
  3. In a cast-iron skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  4. Pour the batter into the skillet, and then sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese and crumbled turkey bacon on top.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the Dutch baby is puffed and golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.

Notes

  • This dish is best enjoyed fresh out of the oven.
  • Feel free to add other toppings such as chives or herbs for extra flavor.
