These oven-baked cheesy tacos are a simple way to enjoy a comforting meal at home. Packed with flavor and melted cheese, they’re sure to please.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 12 taco shells
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can refried beans
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1/2 cup tomatoes, diced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add taco seasoning and water to the skillet, and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Spread refried beans inside each taco shell.
  5. Fill each shell with the cooked beef mixture and top with shredded cheese.
  6. Place the filled taco shells on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
  7. Remove from the oven and garnish with shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add sliced olives or jalapeños before baking.
  • Feel free to customize with your favorite toppings.
