A delicious and easy side dish that combines the sweetness of honey with the crunch of carrots and green beans.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 1 pound green beans, trimmed
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the carrots and cook for about 5 minutes until they start to soften.
  3. Add the green beans and cook for another 5 minutes.
  4. Drizzle honey over the vegetables and stir to combine.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender and glazed.
  7. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For a little kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • Feel free to substitute maple syrup for honey if desired.
