  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 1 cup hot water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, spices, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream the butter and sugars until fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each.
  5. Stir in the molasses.
