A delicious and comforting casserole that combines turkey bacon and chicken ham in a classic shepherd’s pie dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup chicken ham, diced
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup corn
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
  3. Add ground turkey, turkey bacon, and chicken ham to the skillet, cooking until browned.
  4. Stir in peas, corn, thyme, black pepper, and chicken broth. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly in a baking dish and top with mashed potatoes.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add cheese on top of the mashed potatoes before baking.
  • Use a mix of vegetables as per your preference.
