2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
4 large eggs
1 cup buttermilk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Stir in the buttermilk and vanilla extract.
In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon together for the swirl.
Layer half of the cake batter in the prepared bundt pan, sprinkle with half of the cinnamon mixture, and then repeat with the remaining batter and cinnamon.
Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let the cake cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
