  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the flour, cocoa powder, and salt, mixing until well combined.
  5. Divide the dough in half, adding food coloring to one half to achieve the desired color.
  6. Roll out each dough between parchment paper into rectangles.
  7. Layer one rectangle on top of the other and roll tightly into a log.
  8. Chill the log in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
  9. Slice into rounds and place on a baking sheet.
  10. Bake for 10-12 minutes until set.
