A delicious and easy appetizer featuring fresh burrata cheese and prosciutto on toasted crostini.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French baguette
  • 8 ounces burrata cheese
  • 4 ounces prosciutto
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the baguette into ½-inch thick slices and arrange on a baking sheet.
  3. Brush each slice with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
  4. Bake for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  6. On each crostini, layer a piece of prosciutto and a generous dollop of burrata cheese.
  7. Sprinkle with black pepper and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
  8. Serve immediately.
